Terms of Service

The deal between us.

These terms cover products I make and sell directly through OxidativeRN, including the MCAT Village preorder, MCAT Village itself, and any future original products listed on this site. By placing an order or using the site, you agree to what's below.

What these terms do not cover

OxidativeRN also features affiliate links to products I personally use, including items on Amazon and Nu Skin. When you click one of those links you leave this site and complete your purchase on theirs. Those transactions are between you and the retailer. Their terms, their returns, their support, their privacy practices. Not mine.

For anything you buy through an affiliate link, refer to the retailer's terms above. The rest of these terms apply only to what I make and sell directly.

Who I am

OxidativeRN is an independent project run by Chris (Christine Fryar), an OR nurse based in Austin, Texas. Payments for digital products are processed by Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record for the transaction. Their terms apply to the checkout itself; mine apply to the product you are buying.

What you're buying

The MCAT Village preorder is access to a study tool that is still being built. At the time you preorder, only Glow Labs (the biochem district) is playable. Glow Labs stays free, forever, for everyone.

Your preorder unlocks the remaining paid districts (Prism Works, Atomic Conservatory, Academy Grounds, Heartside Commons, Synthesis Street, and the World Hub) on a rolling basis as each one reaches alpha. "Alpha" means playable end to end, with rough edges I'm still smoothing. You get access the day it opens.

I don't promise a fixed ship date for any specific district. I do promise to keep building, to communicate when each one opens, and to refund you if a district you were waiting for hasn't shipped in a reasonable window. See the refund policy for the full picture.

Selfishly: I need this game up and running perfectly ASAP too. I'm taking the MCAT myself, and MCAT Village is what I'm using to play ahem study for the exam. Every district I push to alpha is one I'm about to grind through on my own weak spots. Your urgency is genuinely my urgency.

Pricing

The founders preorder is $49 USD, one-time payment, while preorder is open. After preorder closes, MCAT Village goes to its regular price of $99 USD. Both tiers unlock the same set of paid districts. The difference is timing: preorder buyers get each district as soon as it reaches alpha, when it's playable but still rough. Regular-tier buyers get the same districts once they're out of alpha and more polished. Practice tests and seasonal expansion content (if and when offered) are priced separately and disclosed before purchase.

Refunds

You get a 30-day, no-questions-asked refund window on the founders preorder. Just send me a message within 30 days of your purchase. The full refund policy lives at /refund-policy and is part of these terms by reference.

Your account and your progress

MCAT Village stores study progress on your account so you can pick up where you left off. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe. If you create accounts under different emails, progress doesn't merge across them.

I treat saved progress as something worth protecting. Schema changes ship with migrations so your data carries forward across updates. If a bug ever loses progress, I'll work with you to restore what I can.

Acceptable use

Use MCAT Village for your own MCAT prep. Don't redistribute the game, scrape its content, share your account so multiple people study off one purchase, or build a competing product from material you got through this site. Don't try to break, exploit, or attack the service or other users.

If you do any of the above, I can suspend or terminate your access without a refund. I'd rather not, so please don't make me.

My content

Everything I write, draw, code, compose, and design for MCAT Village and OxidativeRN is mine, and is protected by copyright. Buying a preorder gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use it for your own studying. It does not transfer ownership or grant any right to redistribute, resell, or train AI systems on it.

Your content

If you submit feedback, bug reports, messages, or anything else to me through the site or the game, you give me permission to read it, act on it, and use it to improve the product. I won't attach your name to public material without asking you first.

MCAT and AAMC

MCAT® is a registered trademark of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). The AAMC does not endorse, sponsor, or review MCAT Village. MCAT Village is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with the AAMC in any way. Practice content is original; nothing on the site is copied or paraphrased from official AAMC materials.

Real talk: your MCAT score is yours. I can't promise you a number, and I won't pretend to. What I can promise is to build the best prep tool I know how to build, without overwhelming either of our brains. MCAT Village is a study aid, not a guarantee of any score, any admissions outcome, or any career result. Your prep, your test, your responsibility.

No medical or professional advice

MCAT Village teaches concepts that appear on a medical-admissions exam. Nothing on this site, in the game, or in any communication from me is medical advice, legal advice, or professional advice. Don't make clinical, legal, or financial decisions based on a district.

Service availability

I do my best to keep the site and the game online, but I can't promise zero downtime. Hosting providers go down, bugs ship, features get rebuilt. If a service interruption stretches long enough to materially affect your prep, reach out and we'll work it out (which usually means a refund; see above).

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, my total liability to you for anything related to OxidativeRN or MCAT Village is limited to the amount you paid me in the twelve months before the claim. I am not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental, or special damages, including lost study time, missed test dates, or admissions outcomes.

Some places don't allow these limits. If you live somewhere that gives you stronger consumer protections, those apply and override anything inconsistent above.

Changes to these terms

I'll update this page when something material changes (new product line, new pricing structure, new policy). The "last updated" date below moves forward whenever I make a change. If a change affects a purchase you already made, the version of the terms in effect on your purchase date governs that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't worked out by talking to each other directly will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.

Contact

Questions about these terms, the refund policy, or anything else, send me a message . Real human on the other end.
